1. How do I place an order?
Ordering from Sample Scents is quick and easy:
- Browse our products and select your preferred size (e.g. sample or travel spray).
- Click Add to Cart.
- To view your cart at any time, click the shopping bag icon in the top-right corner.
- When you’re ready, go to your cart, agree to our Terms & Conditions, then click Checkout.
- At checkout, you can log in, create an account, or continue as a guest.
- Enter your delivery and billing details and follow the payment instructions to complete your order.
You’ll receive a confirmation email once your order has been successfully placed.
2. What payment methods do you accept?
We accept a wide range of secure payment methods, including:
- All major credit and debit cards
- PayPal
- Apple Pay
- Google Pay
All payments are processed securely.
3. Will I receive an order confirmation?
Yes. Once your order is placed, you’ll receive a confirmation email with full order details.
If you don’t see it, please check your spam or junk folder.
4. What delivery options are available?
We currently offer UK delivery via:
- Royal Mail Standard (2-3 working days)
- Royal Mail Tracked 24 (1-2 working days)
- Royal Mail Tracked 48 (2-3 working days)
Tracking details are provided once your order has been dispatched.
5. My order hasn’t arrived — what should I do?
If your order hasn’t arrived within 5 working days after dispatch, please contact us with your order number and we’ll investigate this for you straight away.
6. Can I return my products?
Yes — we want you to be happy with your purchase.

7. How is my personal information used?

8. How do I unsubscribe from your emails?
You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails.
9. Are your fragrances genuine?
Yes — all of our fragrances are 100% authentic.
We purchase full-size retail bottles from authorised UK retailers and reputable fragrance suppliers. Each sample is professionally decanted from these genuine bottles into smaller atomisers for sampling purposes.
Sample Scents is an independent retailer and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any fragrance brand or manufacturer. All trademarks remain the property of their respective owners and are used solely to identify the fragrance being sampled.
10. Are your samples supplied in the original manufacturer’s packaging?
No. Our products are supplied as samples in unbranded atomisers and do not include the original retail bottle or branded packaging.
This allows customers to try authentic fragrances at a lower cost before committing to a full-size bottle.
11. My sample smells different to what I’ve smelt before — why?
Fragrances can change slightly over time due to a natural process known as maceration or ageing, which allows the scent to blend and develop.
As we regularly restock and decant from fresh bottles, you may receive a newer batch compared to an older bottle you’ve smelt previously. Storage conditions and skin chemistry can also affect how a fragrance smells on different people.
12. Why is my sample bottle not filled to the very top?
Our atomisers are filled to the correct measured volume, but they are not filled to the top to allow for ullage — a small air gap that is necessary for:
- liquid expansion during temperature changes
- correct spray function and pressure inside the atomiser
This does not mean your sample is underfilled; it contains the stated amount selected at purchase.
13. Can I request a fragrance for you to stock?
Absolutely! If there’s a fragrance you’d love to see available, please contact us and we’ll do our best to source it where possible.
